Remember November

Remember November and days gone by
Going to Grandma's and eating pumpkin pie.
Family gatherings meant fun and games
After childhood it was never the same.
So  thankful am I for local friends
Who meet together for fun pitch-ins
Cook such tasty food that
I look forward to them.
We get to catch up on local news
And I eat too much unless  I  refuse.
I'm grateful to God for family and friends
And all of the memories I share with them.
