Dawn of New Dreams

Oscar Auliq-Ice 1994 (Port Elizabeth)

In the heart of the city,
Where the neon lights shine so pretty,
We dance in the rain,
Young and free, no more pain.

The streets come alive,
Where our spirits jive,
Music fills the air,
Not a single care.

We dance on the tiles,
With unstoppable smiles,
As the taxis speed by,
Under the city sky.

A cafe to the right,
We sit and enjoy the night,
Drinking coffee so warm,
Sheltered from the storm.

The world spins around,
Yet, in joy, we are bound,
Though it's just a dream's spree,
In it, you're always with me.

When I'm lost in the day,
This dream lights my way,
Hoping tonight, the city we'll see,
Young, wild, and forever free.
