Hero (In) For Your Mind

A daunting task I have taken you on
Flee from me because you’ll never be
                                  freed
And I’ll keep you like the night keeps
                             the dawn
Safe and sound being all you ever
                                   need
Your broken heart will definitely bleed
Don’t trust my words they are nothing
                                  but lies
A tangled web my shattered hands
                                   knead
I will ignore all your broken heart cries

I’ll reel you back in with beauty and
                                   brawn
Empty promises to you I will plead
Begging me to stay in a moment gone
And everything I said you have
                                  believed
I’ll drive you crazy I’ll always succeed
You won’t leave no matter how many
                                     tries
You say you hate me I planted my seed
I will ignore all your broken heart cries

When you look around all others are
                                      gone
Your lies still come even when you
                                    concede
It’s just a game and you’re my little
                                        pawn
Still in me you find what you always
                                        need
Peace and tranquility will always fleed
The hunger for me will triple in size
My dangerous game I’ll always
                                       succeed
I will ignore all your broken heart cries

My name’s Heroin and you I can read
In my secure grip your soul always
                                           dies
I’ll tell you lies and be all that you need
I’ll ignore all your broken heart cries
