A Lesson Ignored

For many smokers, the first time
They smoked a cigarette,
There was a burning in their throat
And coughing with regret.

Most of them, did not quit then
And soon they smoked yet again.

The more they smoked, it then became
Quite easy to inhale.
They did not think it was a shame
Or that their health would fail.

When they first smoked their lungs did try
To say that is a faster way to die!
