Time For Winter

Rhymed
colder and colder
it's winding down
the time for winter
will soon be in town

the wood's all prepped
the heater's aglow
the blankets are layered
for the upcoming snow

so, pour your cocoa
and brew your tea
before too long
you'll be trimming the tree

About this poem

The birth of this poem came as the night air is now quite brisk and the heater continually kicks on in the evenings; the ideas were mulling over and over again. It's a poem!
