"No More Tears & Depression..."
I woke up this morning in tears
Yes, I know I'm depressed
Been down too long
And now my body is stressed
Got to shake this feeling
I know God has my back
This could also be coming from some
Of my important meds I lack
Trying to get it together completely
I've been making all the appointments I need
COVID-19 and my right kidney has given me HELL
Bouncing back from COVID-19, but right kidney, PLEASE
I want to feel joy
Tired of feeling pain
I need my sunshine
I've had too much rain
Hard to explain the feeling
Hard to cope at all
Trying to stop the tears
Yet they constantly fall
God please hold me
I need your caring arms
I don't need this sickness and depression
To keep doing my body harm
You're all I have
And truly all I need
Father send down your mercy
And set my mind and body free
Tired of the tears falling
Feeling like I'm alone and lost
I need to find my way back to salvation
No matter what's the cost
Forgive me Father for all the depression
It takes over me with force
Even when I'm screaming,'NO!"
In my loudest voice!!!
Thank You, Farther
For your opened arms and listening ear
You've put me at peace
And now my mind is clear
I love You always
I will never leave Your side
With you forever
Is where I choose to abide
Never let me go
Forever hold me tight
You're always my Forever Light
Through every darkened night...
About this poem
I wrote this poem at the time when I was dealing with COVID-19, plus I had to have emergency surgery on my right kidney for the 11th time. I was in so much unbearable pain I couldn't sleep or anything. All I could do was cry.
