Psalms 23

With God as my Shepherd, how then can I want? My mouth is agape.
He surrounds me with the most beautiful, breathtaking landscape.

Peace and Calmness accompany me as my thirst is quenched.
He provides constant renewal of my soul. My enemies benched.

All the while, He points me in the right direction.
As I seek His true perfection.

Even though Darkness and Treachery steer me toward Death’s Valley,
ironically, Fear is afraid to approach.
Wouldn’t you be scared, if you saw Jesus as my coach?

I am not afraid as you can see.
For Correction and Redirection comfort me.

He lavishes me with the choicest of delicacies as my enemy’s mouth waters.
His banqueting table is full of His sons and daughters.

He sends Goodness and Kindness to journey alongside me here on Earth.
This, my friend, is my destiny from birth.

Yea! For I will live in the house of the Lord,
Forever and ever and never get bored.
