Dost the blind deaf babe of God see t' world s'how

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

Little innocent babe in a world full of power
Someone bright brought you here to me on a mysterious flower
We made you a person to have a personal soul to follow
And told you how you would be as swift as a soaring swollow
Offering such peaceful signs and thoughts without even knowing
Maybe even here in this tiny sort of poem
And how dos't thou become and see the world and somehow know us without ever hearing
Can you think like a saint and are they always in your mind cheering
Do you touch the heart of this cradled universe even though they know much gain and softest hurts
Every night your love survives too as your calm thoughts grow through the pain
And you shine brighter than a blessing on the sun-a flutter of light on our disgrace
Maybe even find warmth though your nerves failed one by one
I said goodbye to your life before you ever really knew it, was done
Cos I said the same to mine and I had to just push through it
Then I made another you irreplaceable.
Shit...
