Agape
My God my God why have Thou forsaken thee
Screaming through this storm unheard
Heartbroken alone begging you to comfort me
Your mercy I have never deserved
Yearning for you to take this saddle
I’m really not ready for this battle
My child my child I have not forsaken thee
Come here now I’ll let you scream
In my arms rest now let it be
My mercy has washed you clean
Gear up now we’ll win this war
Out of Me My blessings pour
My God my God I can’t feel You near
You say You’re here but I’m still alone
How long until my valleys clear
How long can I stand on my own
You say I’m Yours but I’m in doubt
Prove to me what you’re about
My child my child stop all this fear
You never stand alone we are one
Never have I left you my dear
This battle you face has already been won
I understand your doubt but I’m greater than that
Those who accuse where’re they at
My God my God I’m so sorry I doubt
I realize it now I’m no longer afraid
You’ll always show me what You’re about
I’ll stand by you my life I will trade
Throughout my battle you’re love outshined
You grace and Your mercy it is all mine
