Equivalent Beauty

Steve Cochrane 1955 (Cape)

Some things in life are beautiful;
A thought so many share.
Those things help life become less dull
With magic sometimes rare!

One source is art where thoughts and dreams
Are shown with colors and
Can help us see just what life seems
To be with painting hands.

Another source is music when
Composers add a voice
To notes that make us dream again
And then daydream by choice!

I have seen photographs that had
Preserved the past as well
As showing both the good and bad
In ways no words could tell.

And yes, all poets have a chance
To beautify our lives,
When they create what makes souls dance,
Preserved in life's archives.
