Masks
It started as finding herself and ends with finding herself . Spatters of bits and pieces splashed against the wall. It started with a death and ends with death. Scraping for any remnants of something in between. Clinging to both people ,who is actually really one.
It’s terrifying. Was this all for nothing.. a sea of uncertainty and pain. A mask of so many faces, moments and lies. “I wish I never gave in”.
Sleepless nights lead to long days. Feeling alone and wanting to be alone.
That blank apartment that felt so lonely but feels so free now. No people.. no places or things replaced it.
Tired.. of masks, and civility that’s untrue. Longing to be clear and oneself. Bleeding inward and never letting one drop out.
Secrets.
Secrets that run so deep the blood runs dry. Lies that are so beautiful that they really mean hate. Love that was so real, but is new destruction that can’t be healed. A house that was once a home but now is so hollow anything breaks through.
Masks- too many from all sides, fabricating who people are.
Heart. So broken already that the tiny pieces can’t be swept up again to be placed back together.
