The Great and The Good of This World

In this world of chaos and strife,
Where darkness seems to thrive,
There are those who shine so bright,
With hearts of gold and souls so white.

The great and the good of this world,
Whose kindness unfurls,
Like a banner in the breeze,
Bringing comfort and ease.

They stand for what is right,
Even in the darkest night,
Their voices rising clear and strong,
To guide us when we're going wrong.

They heal the sick and feed the poor,
And open doors for all to explore,
Their compassion knows no bounds,
And their love surrounds.

So let us celebrate the great and the good,
Whose deeds are understood,
For they make this world a better place,
With their grace and embrace.

In times of doubt and despair,
They remind us that we care,
And that together we can stand,
To build a land where all are hand in hand.
