A fragrant flower

(Tribute to a patient Mom)

I know of a flower, a jasmine pretty!
A flower with petals of poetic  beauty
Emitting fragrance of sensitivity.
with an enchanting voice that is hearty.

Flower unaware of stingers, fell for a wild bee.
Who sucked its youth and honey.
Trampled on its petals and left it in agony.
I know this flower is a jasmine in misery!

But delicate flower, tolerant as ever,
Sustained its struggle alone,
With its scattered pollen and and shaken stamen,
Had young buds blossom and grown!

The wild bee hummed its wild song
Around another yellow jacket with poignant smile,
Stingers and deceit masked by color, perfume .
The buds now blossomed, yearned for  father, wile!

The jasmine, with unlimited patience and tolerance
Put up with the unwelcome company!
The bee and the jacket once again stung, trampled on its petals,
Left in artificial glory, leaving the flower in misery!

Lo! And behold, the flower will bloom again,
With its poetic petals and fragrance galore,
Sustains the love for the buds now grown,
Great is the love of this mother- flower, I adore!!
