I like it hot
I like it hot,
But hot is what,
Is it food that on the palate will burn
Or is it food that makes the stomach churn
Temperature measures the capacity of body parts to accept heat
Scoville measures the capacity of chilies to torment with deceit
High Temperatures and scovilles will both inflict pain
Causing intense discomfort and irritation to the brain
If these symptoms are equal then hot is well defined
And hot is a noun that is very well aligned.
I like it hot,
But hot is what,
That girl over there is really hot
This is not a taste but is an eyeshot
So does that really change the plot?
About this poem
Following a lunch when I commented about the heat of the food and the heat of a chili, I started thinking about "what is hot". The poem is about my reflection of the meaning of heat.
