No Leftovers

I don't want to have what somebody had,
To give it up to me left over.
Why should I take and celebrate,
That which was not meant...
For me to receive in the first place to get.

Yes,
I want to believe I'm special.
And possess certain qualities.
I don't want to think I am second best,
To suspect I'll accept just anything.

I am not one desperate.
To have my needs to please.
Nor is my mind disconnected.
From my heart to believe...
Anything anybody gives me,
Had been kept to save for the right time.
Anything anybody gives me,
That right time to give it is mine.
Anything anybody gives me,
I don't want to know it's leftover.
Left near a half empty bottle of wine!

No fool to dupe.
Nope.
I keep a cool attitude.
Yet when I'm made to suspect,
I'm somebody's second best.
Then I'm quick to get my mood on.
To up and leave.
Yes.
No A-B-C explanations.
Heard from me.
I'm quick to get my mood on.
As fresh as fresh can be.
No A through Z explanations.
To heard heard coming from me.

When I'm made to suspect,
What I've been given is just leftovers.
And that I should accept.
I will get up,  and leave.
Yes.
No A-B-C explanations!
Will anybody hear from me.
