Abandoned Responsibilities

Fascinating are today's accusations made.
Leaving many to point their fingers,
At others to involve...
In the problems created to solve,
Them heated to bake...
Hoping for an exit to escape,
Away from the obvious.

Few, these days will say publicly and admit,
That they as adults and no one else...
Should be blamed for their children's,
Undisciplined acts.
To perform and attract,
Pointless attention upon themselves to get.
With a disrespecting rules and laws.
Not to follow but disobey.
As taught to learn and allowed to ignore,
Those in authority they see and believe...
Not to apply what they do.
But to do what they say.
Whatever they choose.
Regardless of the rules and laws,
Children witness to observe...
Broken on a daily basis.

And...
If parents are strict,
In the raising of their children.
With a doing this done and publicly?
Others rush to come to the rescue.
Of children who immediately,
Accuse their parents for being cruel and mean.
And in need of mental therapy.
To have lawless and undisciplined authorities,
Agree.

Giving today's parents,
A reason and cause...
To abandon their responsibilities,
Heard to hear...
From a court appointed judge to call them all,
Unfit to live together as a family.
Since it is her or his opinion,
Many today among the few...
Can not accept the laws and rules as they are.
To follow and keep them to value and obey!

'Uh...
Your Honor?'

'Yes?
Speak now or forever hold your peace.'

'Every time I attempt and try to keep,
Peace in my home as I view it should be?
My children threaten to call 911 on me.
And...
If the decision you make,
Takes my children away.
To be raised by someone else?
Forever I will be grateful,
To be permitted to visit periodically.
Saving me the expense to pretend,
That a raising...
My disrespectful, undisciplined children,
Will be a relief to give me time...
To reminisce mistakes I made.
While mending my mind,
Vacationing in The Bahamas.'

'That's not fair!'

'Fair?
Trust me,
Those kids will not miss me!'

'I'm talking about me?
Your admitting of guilt is not fair to me.
My children have driven my spouse and I,
To seek separate homes to live in.
With a doing to sell the old place.
And they all know where I live.
But...
Miraculously,
Where my spouse lives in a new house...
Not one of them can remember the address!
Leaving me alone to regret,
Not to ask for a divorce before and not after...
To believe I would get empathy.
Even our pet dog 'Willis' began to bark at me.'

'Uh...
Your Honor?
Can we speed this up.
I packed my bags this morning.
Expecting your 'positive' decision.
And...
I am due to get a ride to the airport.
In about an hour!'

'Go.
Go. Go. Go!
Be selfish.
This case is closed.'

'I will.
In the best way God allows.'
