Cheery Rain

Merry drippings bounce into wine
Through sun's flighty rays
And glistenings of time
Children bounce on cherry tree puddles
Reflecting leaves and dappled covers
Holding balloons of blue and gold
Unaware of the risk of cold
Hats of Mario in rainbow colour
Lizard boots and dreaming wonder
Imagining the deepest seas
Surfing fish and smiles to please
Dolphins rising over their heads
Seaguls landing on nearby sheds
Watching the lights of traffic filled roads
Beeping horns scaring away the toads
Running from mum then rush back for fun
Sparkling lights of energy in every drop
Ping off raincoats and float from breaths
Joyful cries to follow me
While waving drivers join in the glee
