Barbara Jean

Do you have a mother,
that will do anything for you?
Does she make sure you never feel like a bother?
Is she the most creative human you ever knew?
Is she one of your best friends?
The person you turn to when your world is upside down,
the one that can fix everything and makes amends?
Did she help you put on your wedding gown?
Is your mother the most unique woman you've ever met?
Is she creative, talented and smart?
Does she light up your life, like the rays of a sunset?
Is her mind as beautiful as her art?
Does your mother handle life with such grace,
that she puts any sadness to shame.
because no matter what the case,
or how life can become completely insane...
There is Barbara Jean smiling,
carrying her own pain, happiness and strengths...
no matter what life is bringing.
She goes to the lowest of depths,
To save me, guide me and teach me how to live,
for one day all I'll have is her past guidance.
She's taught me how to always strive,
for the best in life and to make big moves in silence.
She has prepared me to overcome life's ups and downs,
to be thankful for the good,
but strong enough to deal with the world's clowns.
All of life's triumphs and failures she withstood,
without ever losing the giving person she is.
Her advice is the most valuable.
I soak up every word she says,
her ability to be her true self is admirable.
Does your mother make you feel like you matter,
that you are more than a grain of sand on a 20-mile beach?
Is she there through every chapter?
My mother is never out of reach.
I am proud to be her daughter!
A woman of grace, strength and unconditional love,
always full of laughter, no matter what life brought her.
Here's to the woman that has helped shape the person I am.
Barbara Jean, my one-of-a-kind mother.
