Sharks

It's the way he looks in my eyes, smirk on his face, so dangerously close to mine...my stomach drops and heart takes off, reminding me I haven't felt in awhile.

I want to dive head first and drown.

It's how he teases while circling me slowly, like a shark waiting to devour me alive. Lulled by a tone so sultry and sweet, guiding me to the deep end with nowhere to hide.

It makes me sick.

His stare is fixed and cold; a darkness, mixed with hunger and desire. Ironically it brings me warmth - dragging me deeper into his whirlpool as I grow tired.

I long to be swallowed whole.

Consumed by a man who lets his temper slip and desire dance across his eyes; a man who lives fast, keeping people at bay with his great white lies -

It sends chills down my spine.

I long to see him around every corner and sense him when he's close. Anticipating every interaction where time simultaneously speeds up and slows.

I think I've lost my mind.

Never spiritial, but here I am reading and re-reading the signs. Dying inside because he's made a game of my life...

...or have I?
