Proposing Closure

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Proposing closure.
To suggest and recommend.
Is a doing that ends,
An unconscious suffocating.
Unknown.
Although allowed to begin.

Too long overdosed mostly on troubles.
From coast to coast.
Keeping this close kept to perceive,
A quality of life few will leave.
Yet many accept as is to be.
An addiction needed to escape from reality.

We all adapt to our choice of habits.
Within comfort zones we choose to condone.
Sabotaging a happiness wanted,
Claimed to wish and desire to get.
To expect and accept the receiving of less.
Done to pretend what we do is a hobby.
A hobby to select quietly to be stressed?

The living to be agitated by nonsense.
On a daily basis to choose as a choice?
Then hear this heard referred as a hobby?
Okay!
Strong is the drug to numb these nerves.
To voluntarily leave dreams wished,
For more happiness.
Left to sit as dreams just to sit?

Yet kept are troubles to worry on a daily basis,
Some think of this as an invitation to bliss?
Who is behind,
The successful hypnotizing of these minds?
With a doing done for them left to believe,
The more mentally twisted they become...
They must seek to be crazed,
To achieve complete satisfaction!
And those doing their best to stay sane,
Are threats to humanity!
Where has the love for life gone?
