AFRICA

Keabetswe Ramantshane 1983 (Pretoria St Mary's)

AFRICA

It was born but matured.
the continent of mother nature
build on the roots of strength!

Africa became Africa today.
because of its green grass
hidden by the brown weeds.
its strength comes from
its peoples’ belief.

Africa is Africa because:
of the love given by our
mothers which made us strong
the love that was on the palm of its hand,
It spread throughout
that made Africa.

Africa is Africa because of
Africans who built it,
Through cement and sand in their hands,
and built it.
Africa is Africa today because of Africans,
who determined mistakes with our financials.

Africa will never die,
its build on a concrete foundation
just on the journey of finding
its true self.
Africa was created for Africans.
who were born to fulfil a purpose?
whose past is there for a reason,
whose future will be there to
brighten-up faces in the pit,
Africa shall live forever.

The journey travelled by our,
great grandparents with sorrow
and wisdom made Africa strong.
our wise ancestors who died,
peacefully created Africa,
are still here today because,
Africa is Alive.
