Solitary

Simplicity
silence
so long.
As long as
a piece
of string.

Subdued
solitary
so soft.
As soft as
a duckling's
down.

I embrace
these states,
I live in them
as I would
a cottage
by a lake,
with my beloved.

Passions subsided,
room for tranquillity
in my cottage.

In my cottage
I have house room
for peace.

About this poem

How I like to live, with forays into the world, then back into my house away from the noise, chaos and violence of the world
