Inkonzo yokugqibela

Lonah Lysah Mabona 2002 (Eastern Cape)

Olusuku leCawe ibelelona suk' oluthandayo,
Bendisoloko ndikonwabele ukuhamba nawe.
Ubophele phezulu elo nwele lwakho luhle,
Nangona besisiya enkonzweni kuphela.

Ngoku qho ngemihla yeCawe ndilala litshone.
Kungathi ndangcwaba ukholo lwam kunye nawe.
Ndityhol' inkosi ndingazi nokuba ndiyakholelwa kuyo,
Hayi ngoba ndifuna, ntonje ndiswel' amazwi.

Ndiyakuhlala ndibambelele kwezo ngcinga zitshabaleleyo.
Andikakulungeli ukwamkela esisehlo.
Akukho lula ukuthi hamba kakuhle ngokuba ndiyazi nditsh' okokugqibela.
Ngoku ndikubuka kwiinkanyezi,
Bengazi ukuba uyakuze ubekude kangaka.

Ndiphakathi kwamadabi entlungu,
Uthathe elona cala lingcono kwintliziyo yam.
Andazi ndiyakuyinyamezela njani nale mini,
Nokuba liyakuze liphole na elinxeba.

Uze ungathi wakundibona ndinje uvakalelwe lusizi.
Qhubeka nohambo lakho bambo lwam,
Kuya kuqaqamba kodwa akuncedi ukhala,
Ndiyakuhlala ndikukhumbula.

I am a 21 years old girl who grow up in the villages of Dutywa at Eastern Cape.I fell in love with peotry after I lost my mother in May 2017. I heard no on to talk to, neither did I have money to see a therapist.I wanted to let it all out and I found peace by putting all those mixed emotions in a form of a poetry.Later on as the burden of the pain of loss was becoming easy to handle.I had realized I fell inlove with poetry. more…
