gone to space

donal turner 1962 (stratford)

a man contemplates his meager life
the lack of promise that it holds
he feels the pain of bitter strife
the aches in his bones and fatty folds

he desires a life more to his needs
a life in space would be his glory
so off to space he goes to feed his needs

the space is vast and pretty
a far cry from his darkened dorry
out here is a break from the drudge of the city
so here must end this story
