From strangers to friends to strangers again.

We started as strangers, just passing by
No need to stop, no connection
Then we talked like kindred souls
Sharing our days, dreams, and goals with each other
There were times we would just cry for no reason
There were times we would laugh for hours

In good times and bad, you were there for me
We shared secrets and memories; we trusted each other with everything
We built a bond so strong
I thought nothing could come between us

But then I moved away
And slowly that bond felt like a burden
And our lives took different turns
We drifted apart like the leaves in the wind
Our once-strong bond, now starting to bend

I tried holding on, but it was too late
Our friendship fading like the sun fades at night
An unfamiliar feeling that I don't understand
The bond we had now has a different name
Our journey that was there is now gone
