Dementia

Anthony Schultz 1950 (London)

She didn’t seem herself today
She’s not really in the game
Three times now she’s looked at you
And asked you “what’s your name”
You tell her and she just smiles
And turns and looks away
And in her eyes you can see
She’s returned to a younger day
You love her so you worry
But she’s really not the same
You hold her hand she looks at you
And asks you “what’s your name”
