America

America the land of the free
But the only thing free is the lies that we cannot see

America turns culture into politics
And there can be no criterion for truth

America where everyman is his own judge of truth
If he chooses to force his truth on the refractory

America where the cities air flourish with gasses
As the calm feel of madness surrounds you

America where the rich shower in diamonds
As the poor work and sleep in the slums

America where u need a higher education
But ends up suffering to pay for it

America that puts effort into marketing and needs
But not in the home we call earth

America that promises a safe environment
But I see newscasts around every block

America that is the most diverse country
But not every race can live together

America I don’t know what to make out of this
But to just say I came from the land of the free
