A little too late

…and she bowed her head to pray,
Please help me find my strength.
I’m weak, and slowly fading.
More often than I’d like,
Tears fall from my eyes.
More times than I can count,
I’ve softly whispered,
“I can’t do this anymore!”
I’ve slipped, and fallen too many times,
And even though there are times when I don’t want to…
I get back up.
It doesn’t seem worth it anymore!
Things never change,
They only get worse.
To see the blood…
It justifies the pain.
How bad does it have to get,
Before it’s all just a little too late?
