The Dark Abyss

The darkness can be seen by many.
Beyond that is where only few will dare.
You cannot run into it like a pool for plenty.
A two way door, opened only with care.
Confront the dark Abyss you confess.
And your madness meets you in protest.
Contort or conform, you're in the fight.
And you learn, of real sacrifice.
You feel it's chilling grasp, holding tight.
You want to resist, nay, let memory suffice.
Eye to eye, which one will die?
Turning within then churning without.
Now you've got it and soaring high.
From the Invisible Fire, Thine power sought out.
