Brilliant blue skies over the city
A promise of the perfect day
Turned to ash and rubble
By wickedness unfathomable

Heroes raced  into the darkness
laying down their lives
to rescue their fellows
Trapped in the inferno above

Firefighters and civilians fighting against time
To save as many as possible
knowing that they might die
but still they risked it all.
