Spirit wind

Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)

In the twilight hours
i sail into a starlight stream

merging into the flow
each time i feel you touching

as a spirit wind.

In the depths i can feel the signs
To a heartbeat rhythm, pulse, and glow

On a course that’s true,
i think of you

Exploring thru my mind

drawn into a synchrony
sifting thru traces

swept into an entrancing
musical interlude

Finding myself a meditative mood
Suspended within a spiritual stream

Thoughts become ever more as prayers
With the aura of your presence there

Knowing only of what i would believe
Your every motion is a mystery

My emotions dance thru the whispers
Of the evening breeze

Ever filled with joy

In the traces
Of a beautiful dream

Spirit wind
