The beginning

the beginning.                     by Toni Rather.              when our souls where bright as the noon days sun.
and laughter filled the air
as we played as children.
I remember Gods hand holding us close.
never letting us go to the darkness the encircled us.
yearning for to bite us with there venomous sin.
we pondered on the days that could have been.
and wondered about tomorrow and the God we depend.
but we fell from his grip as his weary soul grew tired.
upon shaky ground that trembled that was in tune with our fear.
we found the truths we been seeking and darkness was now our only friend.
there was wonder and joy in this thing called sin.
even when our souls turned grey.
for we knew death was upon us but it was the darkness where  we loved to play.

About this poem

I wrote this while thinking of the beginning of time and how he slipped from God so easily and after every generation has passed we've gotten further and further away from God the world's gone to crap because we like the darkness
