Dear Habibti

In every step of the way,
I shall stick with you, dear Habibti;
Rocky or smooth; cold or warm,
Regardless of the path that we tread on.

I shall carry your burdens,
However heavy, like you do mine;
Bask in your gloom with reckless abandon,
And pull you into my soothing embrace,
Until our souls merge with great synergy.

Words of praises are easy for me to come by,
But on your account, a million adjectives wouldn't suffice,
For you're a priceless pearl beyond measure.
And by Allah, I'm beyond ecstatic that our paths have crossed,
Forming unbreakable building blocks so surreal.

In every step of the way,
I shall stick with you, dear Habibti.
A decade? Five or ten?
I can't tell.
All I know is that forever is the deal.

About this poem

Love is a beautiful thing, most especially when the feeling is mutual. This feeling could sweep you off your feet and levitate you to the seventh heaven. When love is unconditional it knows no bounds, and in this case only death can put asunder.
