Peace

Hannafergs 2004 (Edinburgh)

Hope does unfurl in a little hollow heart
That's been so closed and cold
For years it's been in the dark

A smile graces her face
And dimples do appear
Despite the tear stains on her cheek
She feels no rattling fear

For sitting in a forest
On soft mossy ground
Her face tipped to the sky
She makes no sound

But a whisper of breath escapes her lips
As she sighs in contentment
She's found her bliss

Amongst the green forest trees
That are slowly turning brown
The falling leaves turn her emotions down

Till they're barely there
they're controllable for now
As she sits in the forest
Her peace she has found
