Holding on

Corey J Chauvin 1984 (Louisiana)

She feels buried in these prison walls.
Lost among these deep dark halls.

She wonders if she'll ever escape.
Her efforts have all been a waste.
The pain in her veins runs deep.
The secrets she continues to keep.

No one can see the misery, or tell she needs help.
While her thoughts continue to burn.
Her worse fears have become a concern.
Is the pain becoming too much...

Her ability to hold on is beginning to crush.
As she lying in bed at night .
Drowned in tears.
One more day, she has won the fight.
