White Coat
The coat you may be wearing today may be of many colors that were made from the threads of many others worn out garments. The sewer carefully spun it into a long and narrow fabric so that you would be fully covered.
When you hold it and grab it upon your shoulders, you will remember all the answers to your troubles and your problems and that is the one main thing that is of utmost importance.
You will know now the reason why the previous owners sacrificed this yarn that they once too did adore. They wanted you to stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. This garment will bring to you good blessings and everlasting life.
For in the end you will know that it doesn't matter if you have colors of many or only one color in your garment. When you take your very last breath just make sure you have earned the spotless and unblemished coat of white that became that way when you decided to leave all of your flaws behind and have the highest award in the palms of your hands, which is your sacrificed life.
Then you will appreciate how your coat became all white and right in the eyesight of God and no one can ever take it away.
About this poem
The thoughts and emotions from this poem derived from my memories of myself being sent out at the age of 18 to seek my future. Equipped with a public school education and old wives tales and testimonies of the saints of how they had overcome their problems and sorrows. The challenge of resisting the temptations of life that robs health, wealth and prosperity which you will need to be able to study to show yourself approved to leave the many colors of flaws behind and be the one holding the white coat that will make you gold to share with all the righteous. more »
