My Fancy Face

Jackie Newport 1952 (Chicago)

Hi there Fancy Face
How are you feeling today?
What delights do you have
To share with me today
Is it thoughts from fans of authors
Wisdom from Happy Hippies
Maybe delightful kitties
From Hello Meow or Black Cat Lovers
I immerse myself in the feelings
That all those people and kitty cats
Give to me as I scroll down the page
Leaving many likes and comments
Along the way, feeling I have connected
With another human being in some small way
Even if I haven't met them face to face
Still I feel I am getting to know some of them
From the things they post and share with every one
I follow those I am interested in
But haven't quite built up the courage
To send any friend requests yet
But I'm working on it
Even as just an observer and commenter
I hope that some of the people there will accept
The part of myself I am offering them
Encouraged by those who acknowledge me
By saying how they liked my comments
And sharing a small part of themselves too
It's nice to know that every day
 I can press the button
all those faces familiar and new
Will be there waiting to share
Something wonderful every day
Making my day better because of what they're sharing
Giving me another chance to see something new
And sharing a little bit more of myself with them
Every day and in so many small ways
Thank You Fancy Face
I Love You
