Ex Machina

Abraham Moore 1985 (tennessee)

Just go..
Sound of the whistle blows
We choke
Tongues are tied
We're broke
Rich with change
and there’s older folk
enticed by shiny feathers.
We're still abided by
being reminded by..
then the slam of the door goes
Smack.

The clock is losing all it's rhythm
but time never mattered anyway
Put the machines on cruise
and sing
Out-loud, no sound
can succumb
all that’s shattered-
Scream.

Green alligator,
you're red like a plum

It always feels better with
hours under the belt
Bananas peels in my doors
assisted falling, no help
It pre-existed
the calling to be dealt
A feeling
without healing
for the hours that melt

Over the clock
I'm over it now
this is how the
trenches are found
Oh wow,
how we come unbound

Unprotected from the
walls of our heads
This is joy in split seconds
this is shame,
this is dread
This is how we starve,
This is how we get fed
