Silent Places

I want to touch you in your silent Places
And let my Prints proclaim their presence.

I want to fill up your vacant floors,
Till your roomy space can breathe no more.

I want to cast down my graceful shadow
Till they are part of you and refuse to go.

I want to be your eternal memory
If not your one eternal world.

About this poem

The Poetic Persona speaks of his desire to make an everlasting impact on his lover while he shares his doubts of ever being the one she'll choose to stick with. While he acknowledges the possibility that he may not spend eternity with her, he wants to echo in her silent Places and fill up her vacant spaces till he becomes a resounding memory to her; one that she would hold dear and never forget. This poem was inspired by the Poet's true-life encounter with a love interest who happens to be interested in another person, even while she spends a great amount of time with him.
