peace?

Narrative
i would like to know peace.

but i have not had that pleasure, i can only imagine.

i would like to imagine peace as a euphoric state of calmness and warmth when in its presence. Soft features, an aura easily describable as “home.”

i imagine i’ve experienced small temporary glimpses of peace. moments where i can inhale without the fear of coughing.

but…

i can’t help but imagine that the silence that resides in peace will leave me hollow, a cave, only thoughts echoing.
