Night

favour chukwudi 2000 (owerri,imo state)

night
night of my harrowing
thou are my enemy.

At sun set  when body and spirits crunch,my soul takes it belight forgetting my lonely bed .

As the clock ticks noontide sets followed by eve, here and there comes the night.

Here it's comes like a thief to give back the memories we once shared .The memories that makes me soak my bed waiting for a new dawn like Rapture.

As I wait patiently for new dawn, the Endless Kisses we shared with our hands held so tight as we share same breathe can't be erased.

o night of pleasant expectations, Expectations of your tongue dancing around my two ripe cherries and your pleasant word that meeks my soul .

Now those memories are after me like Karma, where are you my love. Why have you allowed racism to tore apart what we shared .
I will forever hold on to this memories of the night till we meet to part no more.

About this poem

poem emphasis on two individuals who are inlove but because of racism, both were separated, the lady now lives with the memories both has made and further states that those memories comes like karma onto her .
