Modern day thrillseeking!

Throttling the clutch, she weaved through the contraflow of traffic,
Faster and faster, to the rhythm of the music,
Any small wrong move, could be horrific,
Even cataclysmic!

Dodging the spikes, as to not disrupt her mileage,
And steering clear of drunks, for they too could spoil her asylum,
And if the police tried to stop her, she should definitely play dumb!

For she was only 16, certainly too young to be doing this!
If she was stopped, there were no excuses!
So she carried on weaving, through  the thrill of her life!
So dangerous, running the edge of this knife.

Well, now it is time for you to decide!
Now, It is finally time for your dubbing!
Was this the tale of a street racer?
Or a girl, just trying to go clubbing?

About this poem

It's a poem devised to sound like a young street racer moving through traffic, avoiding dangers along her way, and it's revealed that there was a dual meaning of a girl going clubbing; its message is meant to make people aware that there are lots of dangers in clubbing that aren't thought of as much as they should be!
