Mental Sediment

Melancholic smile, pensive language, pathetic posture,
Egregious thoughts, nihilistic; self-inflicted rapture,
Nonchalantly spewing poison towards fragile, weak minds,
Treacherous self-deception, psyche strangled in tight binds,
Antithesis the man; opposite, existentialism,
Laden with troubles, burdened; tunnel-visioned pragmatism.

Serenity, a rarity in this deep, bleak cavern,
Entrapped; imprisoned, a shoddy, flickering lantern,
Disgusted by self confinement, thoughts harden; sediment,
In his life, calloused by resentment, not one compliment,
Myopic was his attitude; lacking forward-thinking,
Entropy, a rapid spiral towards disorder; drinking,
No longer shall his aching pain prevail, drowned himself numb,
Towards blacking out he strives, before so, a depressed hum.
