It’s not your idea

Not your idea

It’s not your idea to make the bed
Ever since you were little  mother got into your head
It’s not your idea to wash your hair Our parents made sure Johnson’s and Johnson’s didn’t tear.
It’s not your idea to be nice to people The tv shows made us see everyone’s equal
It’s not your idea to paint that
One artist fighting another
a lot of backchat
It’s not your idea,  it’s not your format
It’s not your idea to buy that
7 billion people we use as a doormat
Make us unique, our ideas to be new
Lose the copycat feel and copycat do
It wasn’t your idea, so start anew
Plenty are disguised to reach the all time high
It wasn’t your idea to get apprised
It was the idea of many, the idea of some
Don’t profit off unearned income
Your not authorized
That idea is not yours it’s life’s
don’t be surprised…
You think you’re the only person to watch the sun rise?

About this poem

The poem is about how if you really think about it, everything you know and do isn’t your idea or your thought. You always get an idea off of someone or something. Art, music, conversation. Really nothing you do anymore is your OWN thing. It either going on tik tok and seeing girls do the same trend for the 57th time or it’s everyday life when you think your going to do something for the first time and in reality everyone and their mother has already done it multiple times. You aren’t unique
