Find peace within myself

Raghmah A 2002 (Hanover Park)

Too much...
Stress
Depressed
Can't rest
Assured
Just. Occa-sional-ly bored
Can't
Think straight
Practically always
Late
Make no mistake

Wish, I could just...
Take
My heart
Tear it
Apart
Shred it
Into pieces...
But that's not smart
At all
So I've resolved to:

Lying on my bed
Not much in my head
Trying not to think of (things?)
... There's much more to it, But.
No!
I won't.
Go there.
Not another step.
I'm already trying to cope with all of it

I'll soon be closing chapters
Not in any use
Make sure they all binded
Form a likely truce... (With myself)

Find peace within my-self
Try to re-gain strength
Hold my head up high
Just hold it till the end

About this poem

The Poet was going through some inner turmoil, her way of dealing with it all, being to right it out as poetry, or singing it as a song
