Deadly virus

A new enemy has arrived, unseen and deadly,
No weapon to wield, no sword to wield,
A tiny virus, spreading far and wide,
Bringing sickness and death along for the ride.

COVID-19, they named it,
A name we all know too well,
A name that brings dread and fear,
A name that has turned our world to hell.

From Wuhan, it started its journey,
From nation to nation it traveled,
Crossing borders, oceans, and lands,
A silent killer that left us all baffled.

Empty streets, silent cities,
People staying at home, locked inside,
A new normal we need to embrace,
A stark reminder of a tragedy worldwide.

Masks and gloves, we wear them now,
The new fashion of our time,
Washing hands, being careful,
We are all doing our part to fight.

But still, it rages on, this pandemic,
Taking lives, crushing families' hearts,
We must stick together, we must unite,
Stay strong, stay safe, and never give up the fight.

And though it may seem dark and bleak,
We must remember, hope still exists,
Our ingenuity, our resilience,
Will overcome this crisis with grace and persistence.

We will emerge from this with lessons learned,
Stronger, more united, and even more determined.
This too shall pass, we will persevere,
Through the trials, we'll rise above, without fear.
