At some point

At some point...

As this new day opened it eyes at me, all I wanted to do was sleep. Lock myself up and weep.

With much rage I closed my curtains. Still, I can see the new day just wants a climpse.

Why me! Get out now and leave!
Hurt, got burned, never stood firm. Shattered nerves, shaky hands, sweaty palms. For so long that had to last.

Just face the new day, if you look her in the eyes you might just realise it's time for you to also rise.

The New Me.
Look up, for a second it seems the sky is burning. Pink, red- everywhere. Inside you something began stirring... Just as the beautiful new day and sky can look at you with fiery eyes, so can you get up and RISE!

About this poem

This poem is to every person battling to face another day. It might be because of depression, grief, sickness, tiredness. We all have felt like this, but I want to give us hope.

No diplomas. Just a sixteen year old girl that found a way to work through her emotions by playing with words. At the age of 33, still doing it. Love every second of writing a poem. I put myself in others shoes and always try to inspire. more…
