Allure in distress

Discomforts in my writings, a burden I must bear
Surviving it all, though the darkness I must share
Tears roll down my face, and no one is there
No one to hear, no one to care

My soul is shattered and my eyes are red
Alone in my suffering, my griefs I dread
No getaway in sight, no highway of relief
My misery is far too deep

Efforts in life, I'm stumbling through
My belief is shaken, so I battle too
I'm alone in my dilemma, striving for solace I try
But there's no consolation, no one's nearby

My expectancies are diminishing and my stability is frail
My fearlessness is withering, I can't prevail
Days turn to weeks, weeks turn to months
My misery has sunken like a sunken stone

My cares I carry, but never confess
For this is a burden that I must possess
But even in twilight, I still have light
To remind me that I can make it through the night.
