The Power of Dreams

The power of dreams is so immense.
And dreams can make a lot of sense:
Dreams can make living so enjoyable.
And our dreams can make it possible,
For us to feel motivated to work harder,
And relate, connect and feel a lot better.
Dreams help us achieve our potentials,
Irrespective of our luck and credentials.

Dreams are an integral part of our nature.
Like many, I have a lot of faith in the future,
As I have memories and lessons of the past.
The power of dreams is immense and vast.

I believe in the future of South Sudan,
As long as we have a development plan.
 I strongly believe it is full of promise.
And we should all deliver the promise.
It’s our collective moral responsibility,
To reclaim our greatness and our dignity.

I dream of a nation so secure and healthy,
 Proud of its character, identity and history.
I dream of a nation committed to its unity,
And proud of and celebrates its diversity.

I dream of a nation so just and peaceful,
Tolerant, compassionate and merciful.
I dream of a nation devoted to equality,
Justice for all and every civil liberty.

I dream of an educated and informed nation,
which takes advantage of the ICT revolution.
I dream of a free and democratic nation,
An accountable nation committed to action,
To promote good governance and integrity.
I dream of a nation committed to prosperity,
And very keen to increase our productivity.
And is no longer a defenseless victim of poverty.
I dream of an exemplary, self-sufficient nation;
A nation which is the envy of every nation.

I strongly believe we can achieve our dreams,
I have committed myself to pursue these dreams.
Yes, I will - for as long as I continue to breathe,
And for as long as my heart continues to beat.
