Who Takes Care Of Her

Who Takes Care Of Her

The heart of a mother is a big drum
Beating for her children and others
She brings life through labor
Nourishes without hesitation
And does so much without notice
At times without a thank you
Ever wonder to yourself
Who takes care of her?

The loneliness of living for others
Beguiles the benevolent mind
The diligence and devotion
Providing good meals
Dressing up little ones
Washing dishes and bodies
Ever wonder at the end of day
Who takes care of her?

The love so abundant imitates
A unconditional one beyond
It finds her when she exhales
At night with breath enough
To pray for comfort
And relief so soothing
Sleep and dreams for someone
Who takes care of her.
